exchange is slowly creeping to an end. and..surprisingly im all ready for singapore.
these few months in hk, i must say that i have changed. i have became more independent, more sociable, and more exposed. the people i meet here, really do change me. And i am really glad for all the fun that I have. Its like an extended grad trip, in anticipation for work in mas.
yet, its amazing that i can be so rational to understand the simple fact in life that exchange will come to an end, as all other things do.
and i have became more appreciative of people around me, especially of singapore.
A big thankew to: (alphabetically)
Best pal, dlxx
---thanks for always chatting with me, (and special thanks to the convenient time diff between hk and ca) and hearing me whine all the time about the things thats happening to me in hk.
Chew and lht
---thanks for the late night sol, and being my connection to lameness. *no sarcarsm intended*
Cousin
---thanks for all the nice postings and somehow, just the word 'cousin' brings me some warmth. really.
Dennis
---Thanks for all the songs u sent me. i really like them. it reminds me of last sem when we'll chill in ur room (supposedly to be studying) and u played ur guitar for me n cousin
Family
---now i really appreciate dad for sending me everywhere i want, mom for making sure im cleanly clothe (i mean...if u have ever done laundry, u noe how terrible it is. its such a waste of precious time) and for being so financially supportive and i love my grandma too. just having her breathing beside me cheers me up. honest. and i miss my sisters too. its nice having ple to bully
Gabriel
---he really cheers me up (unfortunately he announced he has a new gf. MICHELLE. <--betta watch out)
han
---gosh..its amazing how we cld talk on the fone for hours, and having to keep tab on pfingo's 45min n 3second prob. haa. juz talking to someone singaporean keeps me happy
SINGAPORE
---im glad the national footwear is flipflop. that i can dress in rags and is allowed to walk down orchard even, without getting weird stares
---glad that milo is the national drink. COMEON! milo dino rox. and i miss them to bits.
---missing all the multicultural food in sg. esp bakchormee
---its so clean! and singaporeans are cultured. we dont spit and dont litter. and we are tactful. we dont go around saying people are stupid and demerit differences in culture. we dont think that the singaporean culture is superior. we accept differences and are comfortable with it.
---more importantly, my family and friends are there.
nonetheless, exchange is gonna be a part of me and im still glad i came.
ps: i wont be posting fotos for reasons that some friends may know, but..im glad to share them. :)
ciao.
