Today..

omg! i din realise tat the YEP trip was less than a year ago..it felt..trillion years ago! everything then felt so different...n yet..the meeting with roomie todae was..magical! we rem every single details..right to the dot..

1) how da ge hated us in the beginning..n he even expressed disgust when he had to cook for us..n..how his mood swing to the other side of the pendulum when we told him tat we r eating out. he was SOOO happy tat he went to chase the chickens.

2) how da ge warmed up to us after the cards incident. how half his body was almost into chewsy's room..n how he laughed gleefully at us play heart attack, laughing so happily that it was as if he were playing. how he looked shocked when huiting went up to him (coz she wanted to close the window) n his embarrassment when he understood her intent.

3) how da ge saed hi to us in the morn (after the card incident)..my god! roomie told me he smiled sweetly at her when she saw him (on her return trip) n she felt the lightnings!

4) how me n roomie would wake up in the morn, look at the 'sea' (which is actually the morning fog) and then comment tat a-mei is cute!

5) how solid pork-chop's 6 packs were..when i look out of the door n saw him exercising topless

6) how me n roomie saw da ge's 4 packs..n his dragon tattoo among all his other tattoos

7) rem how we hated the facilitation sessions and the dance sessions (effectively, its only roomie who hate it, but..I just played along with her) and the daily meeting at the church over at the other hill.. n i love the times when i juz told him we r tired n we dun want meetings..N! i get my way.

8) missed the days when we get free 'cucumber facial' coz the tap water was freezing cold

9) recalled how we were scared of rats. how scared i was when i keep hearing noises in the night (n i resorted to working hard at the construction site so as to b SOO tired tat i will fall in a deep slumber) n how this rat fell on roomie's feet in the middle of the nite. EW!

10) how we stupidly returned the blankets n pillows coz we tot we have our sleeping bags..n..when the cold season come in the 2nd week..we freeze n shook in our sleep. but we welcome every morn when a-pi wakes up to set up the fire..some nights, i even waited for her to wake up (coz..its too cold to slp)

11) how a-pi always use those akha words with us when she eat, and how we will alwaz ans in unison tat we will eat our fill. how she alwaz pour half the bowl of veg into roomie bowl, and the other half plus the soup into mine. hahaz! how we love the salted meat n ya! the veg.

12) rem how we created so much joke.. and tested all sort of 'water' just to understand the hse rules.

13) rem how even tho we noe the door cannot b locked n in fact, can b opened from the outside, we will still religiously attempt to push the stick in place before we slp.

14) loved how much fun we had during the camp-fire n cards session

15) recalled how much help the sch kids rendered when we were building the classroom

16) rem alvin's admirer

17) rem the awkward moment with porkchop n even tried to think for the reason behind it..

18) and so much more....

really wished i hadnt had to do PA..wished i had joined them in chiangrai..wished i had see a-pi personally n thanked her for the concern.

i miss chiang rai..
